In short
- You need to be 18 or over to use Profyl.
- Profyl writes from what you tell it. You decide what to send, and what you send has to be true.
- Profyl doesn’t promise interviews, callbacks or offers, and isn’t responsible for how an application turns out.
- Credits never expire. They aren’t cash, web purchases aren’t refunded, and credits on a suspended account are forfeited.
- Your profile, and everything Profyl writes for you, are yours.
- Disputes are settled under Indian law, by arbitration in Hyderabad.
This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Stark Dynamics LLP, a limited liability partnership registered under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 (LLPIN AAD-9235), SRR Riverview, Gandipet Road, Kokapet, Hyderabad 500075 (“we”), which runs Profyl. You accept them when you create an account.
You can use Profyl only if you are 18 or over and able to enter into a legally binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
How we handle your personal data is on the privacy page, and refunds on the refunds page. Both are part of this agreement.
Your account
- You sign in with a personal Google account. Work and school accounts aren’t accepted.
- You confirm an Indian mobile number once. One number holds one account, and one account gets one free application.
- Profyl admits a limited number of new people each day. When the day is full, you can join a waitlist and you’ll be invited by email.
- Keep your Google account secure. What happens in your Profyl account is your responsibility.
What Profyl does, and doesn’t
Profyl writes drafts from your profile: resumes, cover letters, gap notes, interview questions, posts and scripts. It flags what your profile can’t support rather than inventing it.
- Drafts can be wrong. Read everything before you send or post it. You’re the one sending it.
- No outcomes are promised. Profyl doesn’t promise interviews, callbacks, offers, followers or reach.
- Profyl doesn’t post or apply for you. It writes; you copy out what you want, where you want.
- Paste the job description itself. Profyl can’t open links to job sites.
- A role needs its basics. Profyl won’t write an application until each role in your profile has a title, a company and what it covered.
Profyl will change as it improves. You’ll be told before anything you’ve paid for is removed.
Your content
Your profile, what you upload and what Profyl writes for you belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Profyl for you, which includes sending them to the companies named on the privacy page for their part of that work.
We never use your profile, your voice recordings, or anything Profyl writes for you to train any model, ours or anyone else’s.
Only upload what you have the right to use. Your own resume and a job description you’re applying to are fine.
Credits and payment
- A credit buys one finished thing: a complete application, or one idea written for every channel you’ve set up.
- Your profile is free. So is your first complete application, and your first idea written as a LinkedIn post.
- Each credit includes six free rewrites, at most three on any one piece. Past that, a rewrite uses a credit.
- If Profyl fails to write something, the credit comes back automatically. If only part of it failed, you can retry that part free, up to three times.
- Credits never expire. They aren’t cash, can’t be exchanged for cash, and can’t be moved to another account.
- Prices are in rupees, and the amount shown at checkout is the amount charged. On the web you pay through Razorpay or SMEPay, by UPI, credit card or debit card.
- Web purchases aren’t refunded. The reasons, and the exceptions, are on the refunds page.
- Purchases in the iOS and Android apps are made through Apple or Google, under their terms, at the prices shown there.
- Unused credits are lost when you delete your account.
Fair use
Don’t:
- put anything into Profyl that is obscene or pornographic, or that is an “indecent representation of women” under the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986;
- create more than one account, or use someone else’s number, to get more than one free application;
- use Profyl to make claims about someone else, or to write about a career that isn’t yours;
- try to break, overload, copy or scrape Profyl, or get around its limits;
- resell Profyl or what it writes as a service to others.
Suspension and ending
You can delete your account at any time, from Settings in the app. It’s immediate.
We can suspend an account that breaks these terms. You’ll see why when you try to sign in, and you can write to connect@profyl.com if you think it’s a mistake. Credits on a suspended account are forfeited.
Responsibility
What we aren’t liable for
Stark Dynamics LLP, Profyl.com and their representatives aren’t liable for:
- whether your job applications succeed, including interviews, callbacks and offers;
- any misrepresentation in your profile, your resume or anything else you send, whether intentional or not, and whether or not it was written with the help of AI.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stark Dynamics LLP, its licensees, affiliates, subsidiaries and group companies (as applicable), and their partners, officers, directors, agents and employees, against any claim, demand or action made by a third party, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, and any penalty imposed, that arises from your breach of these terms, the privacy policy or our other policies, or from your violation of any law, rule or regulation or of a third party’s rights, including intellectual property rights.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of India. The courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India have exclusive jurisdiction.
Any dispute arising out of these terms will be settled by binding arbitration, before a sole arbitrator appointed jointly by both parties, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration takes place in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
